Tonight I’m making Nadiya’s beetroot and feta pasta, it’s lovely.
I had a few eggs to use up (the hens are laying well!) so for puds this week I made a tray bake which was a layer of sponge topped with puréed Bramley apples and covered with meringue. Sounds a bit strange, but it’s delicious!3 -
Keeping it simple tonight, I’ve got a cold, just a boring snotty nose cold, no Covid symptoms 🤞
so, roasted chicken thighs, with stir fried sprouts and bacon, some spuds for DH swapped for cauli mash, feed a cold and all that 😉Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Pasta bake and also having some odds and ends from the freezer, such as where there was only one left in the packet..Turkey drummer for example.1

Gammon, roast pots, parsnips, carrots, courgette, stuffing, bread sauce, gravy and cabbage with Yorkshire puddings.
Treacle sponge and cream for pudding.

Sadly no pineapple found lurking in the pantry, so sweet and sour chicken became tikka spiced chicken and peppers served in chapattis, with sweet potato fries and salad. Very nice it was too!Books read 2023 - 49/752
