Trying to use up some bits in the fridge today so we've had linguine with a cream cheese sauce (made with cream cheese, butter, garlic and pasta water) with peas and spinach, served with garlic bread. It was actually really tasty. Normally when we do cream cheese pasta we just stir it in and I always find it a bit tasteless.

I had Linda McCartney sausages, husband had pigs in blankets and a chicken breast, with roast potatoes, rootmash, cabbage, stuffing ball, yorkies and gravy. Really enjoyed it.

Pasta with chopped up frankfurters, cheese and errrr...ketchup. didn't finish work til late and after a 12hr working day its what i fancied
That meal was exactly what I used to have as a ‘treat’ dinner at my grandma’s back in the Eighties, and I still love it to this day! With a bit of butter stirred through the pasta - yum!

DH and I are having leftover bolognese pasta bake for dinner, freezer fish and chips for the kids when they get home from school.
Thank you for making me feel less weird  :)
Tonight was a bit late again so i had chicken, mushroom and rice soup lovingly packaged for me by M&S, with bread and butter.

last night i made pinch of noms cajun dirty rice and having leftovers today and tonight i am having gammon steaks but not sure what with yet
  • Kids are having spinach and ricotta ravioli with pesto and green veg, husband is having leftover pasta bolognese with aforementioned green veg. I have got a massive hankering for a jacket potato with tuna mayo so that's just gone in the oven.

We do normally eat the same thing, but the meal plan has gone out of the window this week (should have been cottage pie tonight) as I forgot that one child was out for dinner on Tuesday, leading to pasta leftovers! Pre-cooked mince base for cottage pie has gone in the freezer to be eaten next week.
