28 degrees here today. Was going to put some vegan burgers on the bbq but ended up doing them in the oven instead.
They were waitrose korean inspired burgers, wasn't sure what to expect but they were lovely. Had them in brioche bins with fried onions. I had coleslaw and pickles with mine.
Might make some stock tomorrow to clear a bit of space in the freezer.

Am off work and we are trying to decorate and sort things out around the house.
Needed some things that are easily sorted, so I cooked some sausages, jacket potatoes, made a chicken curry and a chilli, a spanish omelette, roasted a load of veg and made some bread and banana muffins.
Dinner for me was roasted veg with halloumi, husband had curry and rice (from a sachet) daughter having some roasted veg with halloumi in a wrap.

reading this is making me crave stuffing, might just have to include that in the beef roast at the weekend, i already know there will be yorkies, broccoli and cheese, mashed turnip, roasties and peas - lashings of gravy of course!
tonight is a beef tagliatelle, with enough for tomorrow night
  • Lasagne from the freezer,
Maybe sticky toffee Pud and elmlea (again) if I get a pang later  :) if not that's my lunch tomorrow  :#

More soft food for us (Mr CJ has a dental appointment booked for first thing on Friday), so tonight we had salmon fillets with a few new potatoes and some green beans from the garden. Home grown plums turned into a soft crumble with cream for pud.
