Lunch today will be more of the 'stewp' I made yesterday in an attempt to clear the small freezer and contained random veg from home grown to bought in frozen edamame beans so it turned out half way between soup and stew when I added in some risotto rice to thicken it up, nice taste though so not unhappy but it made a BIG pot! supper will be oven cooked burgers and roasted new potatoes (I cooked them in the week) with steamed mixed veg followed by fresh fruit salad and possibly a scoop if ice cream.3

We went for a walk in the woods near us this morning, we did take the car as we were going shopping afterwards. Passed by an asparagus farm with an honesty box, I bought a bag of "soup" asparagus which was really lots of asparagus of different sizes.
So we had some for lunch with sourdough bread and poached eggs, absolutely delicious.
For dinner we had homemade vege biriani, lentil dahl, chicken curry and naan bread. With a bottle of lager. I'm not keen on curry, I could quite easily have had a repeat of lunch.5 -
Lunch today is the last of the 'stewp' with edamame beans and supper this evening will be a shepherds type pie using the last of some already cooked burgers diced with mushrooms and onion in gravy topped with mashed sweet potato and steamed veg, then there is the last portion of crumble for HWK and the last portion of rice pudding for me. Using everything and being inventive is becoming an established way of life.4
