  • Lunch today will be more of the 'stewp' I made yesterday in an attempt to clear the small freezer and contained random veg from home grown to bought in frozen edamame beans so it turned out half way between soup and stew when I added in some risotto rice to thicken it up, nice taste though so not unhappy but it made a BIG pot! supper will be oven cooked burgers and roasted new potatoes (I cooked them in the week) with steamed mixed veg followed by fresh fruit salad and possibly a scoop if ice cream.

Steak from freezer stash, dauphinois potatoes and asparagus here for dinner, strawberries and cream for after.

change of plan too hot here, so we are BBQ’ing the steak with some veggie kebabs

lunch, lazy ploughman’s ie bread, cheese and pickles

I found a jar of mincemeat in the cupboard, so will make a cheats fruitcake to use it up seeing as the oven will be on for the bread 👍

Lunch in the garden,  a couple of slices of olive bread topped with cream cheese, Parma ham and a sliced tomato, followed by a bowl of strawberries.

Tonight we are having lasagna with a side salad.

was pizza for lunch and will be pizza for dinner.
  • Lunch today is the last of the 'stewp' with edamame beans and supper this evening will be a shepherds type pie using the last of some already cooked burgers diced with mushrooms and onion in gravy topped with mashed sweet potato and steamed veg, then there is the last portion of crumble for HWK and the last portion of rice pudding for me.  Using everything and being inventive is becoming an established way of life.
