Welcome Thumpthump
tonight we had another bbq, Gro burgers from the CoOp, except i took my eye off them and they overcooked on one side and required some surgical slicing with the carving knife 🙈 rest was lovely though.
Also picked up some fuscias at L1dl as i was out buying yet more wine (our recycling bin sounds more like a bottle bank atm, thankfully we have lovely neighbours who don't judge us as theirs also sounds the same) and then picked up some compost and feed from H0mebase in the same road. Which wasn't essential in the fact i won't actually die without it, but it lifts the feeling of depression of empty pots at least having a bit of colour and something to focus on. Carrying 50l of compost about also made for the gym being closed 😳

I bought the on offer sirloin steaks from lidl today.
Meat eaters had them, I had a quorn bake, with oven chips, mushrooms, onion rings, tomatoes and mushy peas. I also had gravy. Strawberries and greek yogurt for afters.
Washed down with a bottle of lager.7 -
Lunch today will be French onion soup with toasted cheese croutons in it and supper this evening will be a mini roast with pork loin steaks, freezer roasties, broccoli, carrots, roast parsnips and apple sauce, gravy too! pudding will be a raspberry trifle as I have some sponge cake to use up, a raspberry jelly, a tin of raspberries and some ready made custard. Sadly no cream for the topping but that won't spoil the enjoyment.5

I’ve been looking forward todays dinner all week, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding with all the usual accompaniments 👍 not made a ‘proper’ roast for ages. Pud will be steamed syrup sponge and cream, not enough eggs for proper custard. Then I think a snooze 🤣🤣
Kerrie you are not alone 🍷🥂😉Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Ha ha, when I heard the crash as I chucked two more empty wine bottles into the recycling bin yesterday I thought to myself “this sounds exactly like the noise when the recycling lorry empties the bottle bins at the village pub!”
We’ve had a full English breakfast this morning so will skip lunch. Tonight I am making slow cooked pork loin with onion and chestnut mushrooms in a cider and cream sauce, served with mashed potatoes, asparagus and tenderstem broccoli. I’ve made a tiramisu for puds over the next few days.6 -
Everyone's dinner plans make me hungry despite having just eaten bacon butty!!
Also, our bottle bin is half full already and it was emptied just last week🙈 I seem to be spending shed loads of money, but fiding I have just enough food till next shop and all that cost actually is wine!!
Tonight we are having pork shoulder roast. Cannot wait. Our favourite type of roast. Steamed cabbage&roast carrot and tatties too, of course.

lunch fish finger sandwich
Just making some soup to use up old veg. Might have a small bowl as a starter at dinner time. Then we will share a small packet of tortellini mixed with pesto and accompanied with a small southern fried piece of chicken each (made a couple of weeks ago/frozen).
...the soup turned out to be a stew more or less. Therefore the pasta is moved to another night.3 -
Morning everyone, another one with an alarming amount of clanking bottles in the recycling. We had a full English breakfast so no lunch for us, I have a chicken in the slow cooker for later, having it with Jersey royal potatoes (my fave), carrots, broccoli and stuffing balls.Well Behaved women seldom make history
