I tidied out my cupboards today. I made a new nut roast, sliced it into 10 portions and froze 9. That also got rid of some nuts, cheese and bread.
I also had a tub of cream cheese frosting and some small jars of jam ( from the hotel breakfast buffet) and a pack of butter that was a week ood. So made husband a Victoria sandwich. 7 portions went into freezer.
I roasted a pork loin for dinner, ( bought a £10 meatpack from morrisons) served with stuffing, roast potatoes, root mash, broccoli and peas and gravy. I had nut roast with mine.

Chicken casserole, made with onions, carrots, pearl barley and some red lentils (plus herbs and garlic). To be served with mashed spuds (and part of the field of parsley that's lurking in the fridge courtesy of the veg box people) and some steamed kale.
For all that I'm in Egypt, it is COLD (ok, 20 degrees in the day, 15 at night, I know, I'm getting soft) and we have rain forecast for tonight. Comfort food is required.4 -
