  • I've made baked bean soup for us for lunch and as we're off to the rugby this afternoon started a beef stew in the slow cooker earlier in the day to give us a hot meal ready for supper when we get back this evening. It's cold out there today and I think we'll be glad of it!

Yesterday's supper was a Chinese takeaway as the family and baby granddaughter came back here after the auction we went to and that was yummy too!

Today we had a mixed bean chilli full of veg (grated carrot, onions and peppers). It’s my girls favourite dish (I think). Served with sweet potato fries.

Tonight I’ll do use a cheese and onion omelette

Took some lamb chops out of the freezer yesterday to have tonight with roasted potatoes & roasted veg. Will also have some green stuff - green beans, Brussels & peas.
  • Made 4 x basic mince now in freezer with labels to add extra to them when want to eat curry/chilli/Indian etc. Had portion last night with a jkt and a portion left but will be tomorrow as neighbour friend (17yrs) coming round to help with Xmas wrapping, eat a Jamaican take-away (we were going to have last week but they had sold out when we phoned so we had Chinese) and then a TV fest of Strictly results and then His Dark Materials. Lovely evening.

Sunday roast for us, unusually there is just me and Mr M for dinner today, so it will be leftover chicken and stuffing sandwiches for tomorrow's pack up, alongside homemade scotch eggs, yogurt and blueberries.

Todays roast = chicken, stuffing, roast potatoes, peas, carrots and the last of the homegrown green beans oh and mustn't forget the Yorkshire puddings....which in our house are eaten with every type of roast:D
