  • I am having a Greek restaurant at home evening.
    I will make beef stifado with lemon roast potatoes,
    For afters I will have warmed dried figs with honey on top of Greek yoghurt.

    Fourth Anniversary
    I’m having a lazy one, baked potatoes which I first boil in a pan then dry off, put some olive oil and tiny bit of salt on then crisp up in a hot oven. Having a tin of chilli !! Grated cheese on top and a fridge scrape salad using up the last of the stuff that was bought for Bank holiday monday

    Tonight we had cauli and broccolli cheese with sausages, jacket potato and peas.

    Husband cooked, it doesn't happen very often and he isnt adventurous but it was very welcome.
    I had fishcakes, potato wedges and a salad .
    He had chicken, wedges and salad.
    Daughter had ham, wedges, fried egg and baked beans.

    Fruit and yoghurt for afters.

    Having a HM beef biryani. Making it in the pressure cooker to cut down the length of time the skirt beef needs to cook. It'll be a first cooking it in the pressure cooker but have found a recipe online for and Instant Pot so timings should be similar.

    This was one of DH's favourite meals when we were in Goa earlier this year.

  • Out for lunch and then l/o mince from yesterday for tea. Will have to give tomorrow some thought, maybe sausages from freezeer.

    Drove to the coast today and me, husband and dog shared fish, chips, peas and battered halloumi sitting watching the sunset. It was lovely.
