Easy dinner tonight as I can't really be bothered to do anything exciting for dinner!

So, Dinner tonight was sausage and mash (put some chives in the mash from the garden, with whole grain mustard, it was pretty tasty) with cabbage, broccoli, carrots and gravy.

  • Homemade Tomato and Lentil soup with cold meat for lunch and supper this evening will be a new recipe from a Rose Elliott cook book and will be continental lentil and red pepper patties served with savoury rice and a green salad, a fat free Oykos yoghurt and a cup of black coffee to finish.
  • No idea for tonight but bought some sausages and think maybe a SC sausage thing tomorrow (and 2 or 3 or 4 more for freezer). Bought an aubergine for the fist time today so will search around to see what I can make, maybe some sort of lasagne as I keep reading about them. Maybe fish fingers tonight.
  • Chilli con Carne, Rice, and Tortillas with Melted Cheese :)

Using up the last of the beef from Sunday which hasn't been frozen, to make a beef biryani. One of DHs favourite curries from when we were in Goa earlier this year.

  • We're lunching with DD1 today prior to a matinee performance at the cinema and it will be cold meats and salad and we'll have the last of the tomato and lentil soup for supper when we come home this evening followed by a big bowl of mixed fresh berries and some 0%fat Greek yoghurt followed by our usual cup of black coffee.

I have a couple of salmon fillets to use up, so will flake these into a pan of sauteed onion, chilli and mushroom, then add a couple of handfuls of cooked spaghetti and a swirl of cream.
