Today's food will be bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon; lunch will be HM pea and ham soup.

Tonight's dinner will be a new recipe for me of basil and lemon chickpeas with mackeral from the BBC Good Food website. Cooking the chickpeas at the moment so they're ready for this evening.

Change of plan tonight because the mackerel didn't look very nice once I'd defrosted it! Now going to have a chana green masala with brown rice.

Determined to eek out what is left in the fridge and cupboards before doing a two week shop next week.

So pepper mushroom , grated potato omlette for the DH and kids.
I will have a jacket spud with beans and some grated cheddar as I don't like eggs.
Fruit in the bowl for afters and I spy some vanilla ice cream in the freezer.

Have taken a pork & haricot beans from the freezer so that will do for dinner tonight.

We're having bagels with cream cheese & smoked salmon for lunch and had a fry up for breakfast.

  • Tonight OH and I had lamb chops for dinner, with baby roast potatoes, leeks, carrots, peas, yorkshire pud, gravy and mint sauce. Very nice it was too, haven't had lamb for ages as DS is not keen.

Another night off cooking for me tomorrow as we are having a Chinese takeaway, a birthday treat for DS. I might make a chocolate cake for him as well, with just the tiniest slice for me.
