Just batch cooked some soya mince bolognese and some lamb mince for various meals. thinking lamb will prob make up two portions, one could be a hot pot and one a shepherds pie type combo - just cooked 250g of mince as it's only for me (OH being a veggie) and the rest of the mince might turn into burgers or meatballs.
Might turn some bolognese into a portion of lasagne for the freezer and the rest can be used as / when in various guises. It's now made me hungry :rotfl:

I also think it's hard to raise quite the enthusiasm about a Christmas party post Christmas, esp when people are busy with dry January, veganuary, various resolutions or just glad all the parties and Christmas stuff is over and done with to get back to normality.

we were all all skint too ha, however we didnt spend a penny, it was quite a good night but totally agree not christmassy at all.

Monday night i made a pasta bake with cheese sauce, bacon, sweetcorn and onion, lightly fried the onion and bacon first then they sat in paper towels to soak up the grease. topped it all with grated cheese and bunged in the oven.

wednesday i will be cooking a chicken and serving it with YP's, roast potatoes, peas, carrots and lashings of gravy :money:
