I made this with leftover gammon and turkey. It turned out well didn't use pickled walnuts though.

Also made quiche, coleslaw and wedges.
I organised the fridge and freezer, I am determined that there will be very little waste this year.

Son1 made sweet and sour chicken from the Take Away Secret cookbook and I did some fried rice to go with it.

  • We had spicy lentil and butternut squash soup. After the ridiculous excesses of the last few days (so much cheese!), it felt good to have something simple and light.

I made fish cakes with mushy peas.

The turkey has all gone, even the dog was getting fed up with it!

Although there's a couple of portions of turkey, leek and ham pie filling in the freezer.
  • Smoked salmon fillet and tomato pasta here today, with watercress and spinach salad. MrC brought up a huge bag of spinach beet from the plot yesterday, it's so mild it's still growing which is unheard of forDecember!!
  • Fish, chips and peas. We used the last of the turkey in a curry yesterday

Tonight’s delights were due to be turkey curry, but I swapped it for steak dauphinois and asparagus which was planned for Christmas dinner, turkey is now in the freezer for another meal
