I am trying to find a recipe from this old book for Christmas stuffing.
I remember some of ingredients were: sausagemeat, onion, apple, prunes, mace/nutmeg but not sure how much sausagemeat to start with .As it's 1968 pr0bably 1lb (500grms).
If anyone has come accross this book I'd be keen to know ?
Not quite "what are you having for dinner tonight " but the nearest topic I could find.0 -
I had vege sausages, onions, Savoy cabbage and mashed potatoes. Husband had beef stew from freezer.0

I bought a pack of pork casserole meat & veg from As.a £3.08 so cooked yesterday in SC. This morning I split it into 4 sedrvings, 3 for freezer and one for tonight. May add a few potatoes too but no other veg needed as all were in pack. Just bought a vacuum sealer so have used that for first time. Merry Christmas all.0

Hi Frith: is that "mince pie" of the savoury variety, or the Christmas dessert?!

P.S. We have had mince pies (Xmas type!) for the past 2 evenings: sneaking in a treat before it all kicks off properly next week . . . Lovely with a nice glass of hot orange juice.

Easy oven tray of spicy, garlicky chicken thighs and roast veggies for us tonight. I'll do a little dish of Greek yoghurt topped with smoked paprika to cool down the spicy heat.
Smells delish, in the oven now, Can't wait.0 -
Out for final pre Christmas social this evening. Salmon roulade and a burger with sweet potato fries.
Feet up back home now, zero plans to go out tomorrow and can't wait.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
