Sounds delish! I had to scan your post history - I used to work with a Finchy, but I'm pretty sure you're not them! :)

Just done the big monthly food shop at Ald1. I did wonder if it was uncseasonal to threaten ramming Kevin the bast*rd carrot somewhere sideways at people haphazardly leaving trolleys in the way. Not helped by staff trying to restock shelves so pallets also being mid aisle.

Still, I came out with a full trolley for the princely sum of £70...cupboards are full, freezer is full (managed to get two boxes of halloumi fries to try) and we now have toilet roll.

Tonight's dinner is veg curry, was going to make it from scratch but found a jar of tikka masala sauce in the cupboard so used that. I cooked the veg and added the sauce earlier so hopefully it's marinated a bit. Got some naan bread and bahjis / samosas to go with.

This week I'm also planning a Thai red curry and stir fry I think.

Can't believe this is prob the last big food shop of the year.

Gammon tonight with roast potatoes, stuffing and peas. We have run out of carrots otherwise we’d have those as well!
  • Chickpea, aubergine, mushroom and kale curry - it was in the slow cooker all day (apart from the kale, I just threw that in 5 minutes before serving) - there's something utterly brilliant about being able to have a piping hot homemade meal within a few minutes of getting home after a rubbish day at work. I love my slow cooker!
