Tonight I'm probably making battered salt and chili pork for the OH, same but with mushrooms for myself, with some onions, peppers and brown rice. I'm not sure if I have a chili in the fridge, if I don't I'll have to hope the little halal grocery shop near me has them, or think fast and come up with something else.

I have leftover carrot soup from the weekend. Will enjoy from a mug with some marmite on toast.

Not very exciting, but lunch was leftover pasta with peperonata and aubergine 'meat' balls. Yummy!

Last portion of 'gumbo' from the freezer and lobbed some prawns in with it. Had that with some micro rice w. pumpkin seeds and quinoa in. Oh, and stirred in a dollop of creme fraiche. T'was surprisingly nice.

OH had banana on toast when he got in from work (his choice)

I gave in and made some soup for work lunches, complete with cheesy dumplings. Had to be tested so we all had a small bowl before dinner.
Dinner was dauphinose potatoes (cream needed using up) salmon, tenderstem broccoli and cavalo Nero ( I didn't have any, when I took it out of the packet a load of midges flew out, I did wash it really well and checked it thoroughly as I prepped it, but I knew about them, but the others who did eat it were none the wiser)
  • The rest of the Goulasch Soup for lunch today with chicken for me and a scotch egg for HWK and supper this evening will be Caerphilly Macaroni Cheese (made with Caerphilly cheese and leeks in) with a nice green salad. Piece of blueberry flan I made on Sunday for pud if we want it and a black coffee to finish.

:T So Sunday I was organised after having a lovely roast out, and made some hm soup. Best soup I have made. Delish. Then made some corned beef hash as plenty of onions and potatoes. Once we are through all of that later in the week it will be ham and egg sandwiches for lunch and sweet and sour chicken and rice for dinner
