Just had a phone call from DD to ask if DGD2 can stay overnight. She's kept her off school today due to a bout of Asthma/Wheezing. As I'm 'Nathan-sitting' tomorrow, I'll take her back home with me in the morning.
This means that tonight's evening meal needs to be adjusted to deal with 3 instead of 2 .
I've got sausages, so will do them with mash pots, steamed carrots, steamed cabbage and gravy .0 -
Have made a SC full of squash & chickpea curry (SW friendly). Will have it with brown rice.
Have also made a huge rice pudding with almond milk - really looking forward to it as not had for a very long time.

Oh well - the FOUR sausages were never going to s-t-r-e-t-c-h to the three of us. Got a 'single portion' of kidney out of the freezer for me - not had that for a very long time :rotfl: .

Not sure what we had, but it tasted nice
. Chucked some diced pork in the slow cooker with button mushrooms, a tin of condensed mushroom soup and served it with sweet potato mash and green veggies.

I have a couple of busy nights ahead so tonight whilst husband and daughter were out dropping off some birthday gifts I did some cooking, made cottage pies, one quorn one beef, a vegetarian curry, a chicken curry, garlic bread, wedges, salad, tuna pasta bake, breaded chicken portions. So this will see us through until Thursday.
Husband had pork left over from Sunday, wedges, salad and a small piece of breaded chicken. I had tuna pasta bake, salad and garlic bread, daughter decided she was going tapas style and had small portions of salad, pasta bake, garlic bread, wedges, chicken and a tiny piece of stuffing leftover from Sunday.
Plan is cottage pie tomorrow and curry with packet of rice on Thursday, with the leftover, chicken, salad and the soup I made yesterday for lunches.
Will see if this works.
I also prepped some sprouts and broccoli to go with tomorrows dinner.0 -
HWK asked for Baked Bean Soup so I made a batch yesterday and that will be lunch with cold chicken for me and a scotch egg for him.
Supper this evening will be a vegetable curry of some kind ( will get the book out and decide later), a decent tarka dahl and some basmati rice, also a mint and cucumber raita. Cup of black coffee to finish.0 -
I'm defrosting some quinoa chilli with Fry's chicken style strips (YS). I'm doing the 8-9 CrossFit class so will just have time to heat, gobble, shower and get into bed.
Lunch will be pasta and aubergine balls, leftover from weekend.0
