  • Last night we had sausage casserole with cheesy mustard mash, broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower on a giant Yorkshire Pudding.

Tonight we're having chicken, prawn and chorizo paella.

  • One last fry before the oil gets chucked out. Cod loin in a homemade beer batter with mash and a tin of cheapo mushy peas accompanied with a splotch of tomato ketchup (Heinz) on the side.

Apple compote and a homemade strained yoghurt for pudding.

Have a bit of a strange relationship with coriander sometimes it’s ok other times can’t stand it. Star Anise I’m ok with.

I managed to weld a piece of hotter than hell beef from my pie to the roof of my mouth last night (my fault for trying to scoff it while it was barely out the oven - because i hadn't put it on early enough). Still flipping sore tonight.

Not really sure what to have - not long in and settled but hungry. Thinking I should have something better than a pot noodle but really CBA.

All this talk of sausage casseroles is making me want one too. Need to get batch cooking. i love the Asda packet mix but realistically I could actually make that myself quite easily.

My sausage casserole was nice but not amazing, it was filling and warm and by the looks of things there is enough for another two portions at least. It was a gravy based one maybes I should be trying a tomato based one the next time? Lunch is hash and tonight casserole again lol

  • Today we'll have hm minestrone soup and a cheese toastie for lunch. Just OH and I for dinner so we'll have the bit of pork left over from our roast on Sunday with peppers, onions, carrots, beansprouts, cabbage and mushrooms in a sweet and sour stir fry with rice.
  • In bed last night I thought I would get some sausages out of freezer for today and blow me down, so many folks were saying here that they had sausages, Great minds etc, I bought 4 packs of 6 - do not buy cheapo sausages, just the flavoured ones - then I oven cook them all (not mixed up though) then freeze in baggies of 2 so 3 baggies in each foil dish, When I want them I just get a couple out and defrost then a quick micro or fry. Theres only me.
  • Lunch today will be some stilton and broccoli soup with a roll and supper this evening will be grilled steak, jacket potato and salad followed by a cup of black coffee.

  • Dinner tonight is Quorn chilli with rice, natural yogurt (to cool it down!), cheese and tortilla chips.

I also have a lemon Tart that's got my name on it in the fridge. Bake-off sweet treat I think. :)
