  • Tea for me is a portion of butternut squash, spinach, red lentil and chick pea curry. I was too hungry to wait for any rice or quinoa to cook, so I'm just having a big bowl of it and nothing else. The teenager is having a ready meal.
  • I made a bolognaise pasta bake, which we had with oven baked baguettes and a mixed salad. Think there's one portion left for someone later plus some salad.

I'd also made a lemon cake so had a slice of that for pud with a few strawberries,

I fancy cake now! Mmmm soup and a sandwich for lunch I think. Pork loin steak tonight with turnip, has anyone had the mash direct mashed turnip, delicious, £1 and you get far more than I would if I did a singing swede so im sold on this idea, with a baked potato I think
  • Lunch out today as we're going furniture shopping and supper this evening will be a veggie curry of some kind with a spicy dahl, basmati rice and lots of accompaniments. Cup of black coffee to finish.
  • Shepherd's pie tonight using mince from the freezer and finishing up potatoes, spring onions and a red pepper before hols next week - I'v already made the mince and the mash so won't be too time consuming tonight!
  • Beans on toast for lunch and tonight we'll be having toad in the hole, mash, cabbage, carrots and onion gravy.... roast potatoes for me as I don't like mash.

Just me tonight and I'm torn between beans on toast or salad.
