Bit of a rubbishy tea, as I'm on my own tonight and am doing the responsible adult thing of eating what needs to be eaten, not what I actually fancied. So I had salad with some crispy za'atar spiced tofu followed by some dried fruit, when what I wanted was pie and chips and a steamed pudding.0

We've had Griddled Pork Loin Steaks with Baby Potatoes, Steamed Carrots, Steamed Cabbage with Celery and Gravy - OH is now 'beaming with contentment' before he goes to wash the dishes

I had quorn chipolatas others had chicken breast stuffed with goats cheese and wrapped in bacon, with tenderstem broccoli, dauphinose potatoes and carrots cooked the Tom kerridge way but without the revolting star anise and with much less butter.
Followed by pear and blackberry crumble with pistachios mixed in with the crumble. Served with a scoop of ice cream.0 -
Lunch will be the last of the leek and potato soup with a sandwich for HWK and some chicken for me and our supper tonight will be sausage stew with some sort of green veg followed by rhubarb crumble and custard and our usual cup of coffee.0

Another thing I can't stand - up there with coriander - in fact I think it's worse than coriander as it overpowers everything (ruined a perfectly good stir fry with it once). Love the smell though.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Making sausage casserole tonight, I do have some left over Chinese however, lol. Haven’t had sausage casserole in ages. Didn’t need a lot at the supermarket yesterday as I got a lot last week, just a top up really, got some more of the lovely pork loin steaks again, they were nice and thick sometimes they can be a bit thin. Got some more of the already masked turnip, its only a pound and there is easily four decent portions plus the dog gets some too. Good deal on tomato soup Heinz of course.0
