DH is working away as usual. Will give DD a small pizza and salad. I'll have a veggie burger, hummus, pickles and salad. And maybe some HM rhubarb crumble for pud, if I'm feeling naughty!

I have made a puff pastry chicken and sweetcorn pie for supper tonight. It will be served with peas but no potatoes as there will be enough carbs in the pastry.

    Banana ice cream for pudding.

BIL has just rung to say he's caught a load of Mackerel, so BBQ Mackerels and salad - more free food :D
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

  • Pickles and their mum came to visit and had asked for pizza for lunch so we did that and a huge bowl of fresh fruit for pudding. He Who Knows and I will have a griddled steak and some butternut squash crinkle cut chips for our supper and that will be enough for us.

I lobbed a chicken breast in the oven and had that with green beans and broccoli, plus some stuffing and bread sauce I froze at xmas. All fed from the freezer tonight.

  • We had roast chicken, roast potatoes, yorkshires, stuffing, cabbage, carrots, broc/cauli cheese, poached leeks, hg green beans and gravy. The rest of the chicken will be used for soup for lunch tomorrow and a stir fry or pie later in the week.
  • Proper Autumn comfort food for us this evenig - Lambs Liver / Onion Gravy / Mash / Cabbage :j !
  • We'll be having spag bol tonight, with leftovers for my pack up lunch tomorrow.
  • Fish pie tonight, I'm going to roughly follow the Hairy Dieters recipe with leeky mash, but no prawns and I'll be using up some kippers and plaice from the freezer - hopefully the prawns won't be too big a miss, I had a pack in the freezer and just used a handful each time, but now that's finished I'm resisting shelling out a few quid on a new one
  • Lunch will be some 'dippy eggs' with toast as I'm on my own today and supper this evening will be a new recipe to try which is a Cauliflower and Sweetcorn Crumble which looks delicious and I'll bake some Jacket potatoes to go with it and we'll have salad on the side. Coffee to follow.
