Lamb and mushroom balti that had been in the slow cooker for 12 hours on low. The lamb just melted in the mouth, and I've got enough left to take to work for lunch for the next two days as well.

I made shortcrust pastry with 16 ozs plain flour + 7 ozs YS Trex. Used it to make an egg & bacon pie, a mincemeat pie + small jam tart.[IMG][/img]jun11ebp_zpsa7o4knxy.jpg

Welcome back, lovely to see your photos again, and you of course!!
    :T:T:T
We are away on a mini break, self catering. After travelling for over 2 and a half hours we stopped for something to eat mid afternoon. I had a cheese and tomato toastie, husband had a roll with roast beef. A black coffee and a can of diet coke. Very little change from £15. Am I expecting too much but it was nothing special.
I had done a load of batch cooking yesterday so as we left this morning I took a chilli out of the freezer, and a vege quorn one for myself.
We had these for tea with a sachet of aldi wholegrain rice.
I have made a packed lunch for tomorrow, after we had eaten I bought some bread rolls, deli ham and crisps. I had brought tuna, salad and butter with me. We will have a picnic. If we go into a cafe it will only be for coffee.

I'm using up some of the meat stripped from Sunday's roast chicken tonight, adding it to some pan fried sliced red onion and chestnut mushrooms, some crushed garlic, a glug of white wine and some double cream. A sort of chicken supreme, I guess. Served with rice.

For puds this week I have made a sponge base topped with raspberries and blueberries set in a raspberry jelly.
  • Something veggie for us today so I will make a savoury cheese, onion and sundried tomato strata (like a bread and butter pudding) and roast some cooked new potatoes with it and a lovely crisp green salad too. I'm making blackberry compote today so pud will be that with some vanilla ice cream (trying to use up freezer stocks) and our usual cup of black coffee.
  • Dinner tonight will be burger in a bun with sweet potato wedges, onion rings, salad and hm coleslaw. Baked peaches with ice cream for pud.
