Tonight we'll be mostly having huss. I'll be baking it on a bed of veg - potatoes, courgette, baby plum tomatoes, shallot with capers and various herbs yet to be decided. My default is herbs de provence.
That leaves us with some gammon steaks (from our meat guy) to have - likely with eggs and chips.
And I keep looking at the tortellini et al in the shops. I'm a bit off pasta at the moment but have always enjoyed these previouslly.

I'm away from home for the weekend and tried a recommended place for dinner and was very disappointed so tomorrow and Sunday I'll be going elsewhere at my own expense. I have high hopes for the hotel breakfast though.

breakfast for dinner tonight. The gammon steaks with eggs. popped out to Lidl to get a nice sourdough loaf to go with. (note to self to get butter out of the fridge)
It will be a fishy Sunday. OH has smoked haddock in the freezer and he'll do a couple of poachers to go with that. I'll be having the grilled salmon with some fried potatoes. Then for dinner I got some smoked salmon for sandwiches with cream cheese. Also got a couple of free avocados from Lidl so might make a prawn and avo sandwich as well.

I have done a homemade foccacia bread.
Will make a quarter of it into a couple of sandwiches which we will have with some roasted baby potatoes and salad. The rest of the bread will be frozen

I did try other places in Manchester MediaCity and was very disappointed in the quality and taste so if I ever visit again I will take a tram into the town centre to find vegetables and fruit.
Back home again and on Monday and Tuesday evenings I had a M&S ys pizza that I'd chopped in half and frozen before I went away and added a green salad and lots of extra parmesan. For the last three days I've been eating a bean dish from the freezer and using up all the veg in the fridge so that I'd have space for today's Riverford box.
