breakfast for dinner tonight. The gammon steaks with eggs. popped out to Lidl to get a nice sourdough loaf to go with. (note to self to get butter out of the fridge)
It will be a fishy Sunday. OH has smoked haddock in the freezer and he'll do a couple of poachers to go with that. I'll be having the grilled salmon with some fried potatoes. Then for dinner I got some smoked salmon for sandwiches with cream cheese. Also got a couple of free avocados from Lidl so might make a prawn and avo sandwich as well.

I have done a homemade foccacia bread.
Will make a quarter of it into a couple of sandwiches which we will have with some roasted baby potatoes and salad. The rest of the bread will be frozen

I did try other places in Manchester MediaCity and was very disappointed in the quality and taste so if I ever visit again I will take a tram into the town centre to find vegetables and fruit.
Back home again and on Monday and Tuesday evenings I had a M&S ys pizza that I'd chopped in half and frozen before I went away and added a green salad and lots of extra parmesan. For the last three days I've been eating a bean dish from the freezer and using up all the veg in the fridge so that I'd have space for today's Riverford box.

surprised the OH with some trout & a pork rump roast from Waitrose. had the pork on Wednesday with jackets and sprouting broccoli. I will definitely repeat that again as the pork was lush - all ready to pop in the oven in it's own little foil dish. Trout was done on Thursday - grilled. Was supposed to be with new potatoes as I knew there was half a bag to finish up but turned out there was not enough for both so I popped another jacket in the oven for myself. Big fresh wedges of lemon finished it quite nicely.
OH went to the market on Thursday and got some snapper filets from the fish guy which he did last night with rice. Tonight I believe he's doing the steaks from the meat guy (rump for me, rib eye for him) which we'll have with chips. I'll pull out the pepper sauce we got in France last year and we can consider if we want that too. There's lettuce, tomatoes, cuke, avocado and lots of chives so a salad might be on the menu as well. If not I'll have the avocado with my salmon for breakfast tomorrow.

We had greek salad, I had falafel and husband had pork schwarma, with pitta bread and houmous.
Discovered a seasoning in M and S, labelled all things greek. Highly recommend it.

Last evening's steak didn't happen - delayed to tonight as OH wanted different potatoes, not fries. So we had prawn & avocado salad and "crab" meat sandwiches.
Currently waiting for the stewed rhubarb to cool so I can make my rhubarb and custard cake. OH, for some reason, decided that he needed to buy double cream to go with this!

had lunch out with a friend so OH cooked a light supper of Lidl spinach and ricotta ravioli. just served with a bit of butter on it. I had a very small portion and he was happy to finish the rest.
Not sure yet about tonight. I have some salmon which I could grill and serve with rice but only have a courgette to go with - which I would like but OH isn't so fond. Going out in a bit to a friend's for a cuppa and some lily of valley that she was going to dig out of her garden - not sure if she has because it's been raining all morning. Will text and ask and see if she needs any rhubarb.

Got rather wet and cold cycling home from visiting a friend in hospital so decided to treat myself to beans on toast with fried mushrooms and a fried egg which was very warming.
