@Brie - that sounds rather difficult to manage, best of luck with finding things you can tolerate.

I got in very late yesterday after another trip to London where I drank too much champagne and not enough water and ate the bean casserole I'd left in the slow cooker with some cous cous. Then this evening I jazzed up the remains of the casserole with some tins of Mutti tomatoes and some herbs and ate a portion with ys sourdough. Followed by yet more rhubarb.

Evening all, good news, I finished the rhubarb yesterday morning. It was so nice to have something different for breakfast today.

Anyway, yesterday I had a tamarind dal with a green salad, a hardboiled egg and some ready-made rotis. Same again this evening with a slightly more adventurous (mixed leaves, cucumber, tomatoes, carrots and radishes) salad.

Now off to the kitchen to make a decaf coffee before settling down on the sofa with my knitting.

Last night was a duck leg each - total £3.99 at Lidl which I thought pretty good considering these were giant ducks. Also had the mini tartiflette from Lidl - potato cakes with robochon cheese and bacon plus some nice pan fried courgette.

Tonight we have a couple of nice pork chops from our meat guy which I would like to BBQ but may just grill instead. Mash and then perhaps some roast veg - we've another courgette and I think I have a small amount of red pepper and maybe some parsnips in the freezer. I think that would make a nice combination.

salmon sandwiches this evening to finish up some bread before wandering off for a few days. didn't get any cucumber with the OH likes. Looked at it in M&S and thought it must be cheaper at Aldi but was surprised when I got there and found it was actually more expensive.

I made this Riverford Cauliflower and Coconut Laksa with various creative substitutions and it was delicious so the recipe has gone straight onto my list of tasty things to do with a Cauliflower and Savoy Cabbage. Eaten with rice because the noodles weren't where I thought they were and some cashews sprinkled on top.

Stardom at last, I've got two photos of my dinner on the Forum home page, that was a lovely surprise.

For tonight's dinner I had the other half of the Laksa from yesterday with cous cous, petits pois, sweetcorn and grated carrot this evening. I still haven't remembered where I put the rice noodles but I expect they'll turn up one day.

I added the carrot at the last minute because it was going to be such a yellowy green plateful otherwise.

I had some sesame crunch peanuts and a couple of unusual Japanese Yuzu flavoured agar sweets with a cup of herbal calming tea for pudding.

This evening I had salt and pepper tofu (made with potato starch from Holland and Barrett) peas, sweetcorn and cous cous followed by some mixed nuts and another weird Japanese agar and yuzu sweet.

I had the other half of the tofu with cous cous, petits pois, sweetcorn, grated carrot, cashews and a hastily thrown together dipping sauce.

Eaten on my lap on the sofa because it's been a tiring day.
