I've kept meaning to come back and post this photo of Rukmini Iyer's Tandoori Chicken recipe which I made with tofu because it's delicious and very easy. I put my tofu into the marinade in a covered dish in the fridge and just took out one portion at a time over a few days.
Then a few days ago I made these Sesame Crispbreads which were absolutely delicious and lasted several meals too.

we have some pork shoulder chops which will go on the bbq, there are some pitas in the freezer, I've got some humous and there's makings for a kinda greek salad. I have peppers too but don't know if they will be going on the bbq too.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I've thawed some chicken thighs that are going on the bbq. I'll put a couple of peppers on there as well and I'm doing a microwave packet of carribean rice and peas. Hoping the gas doesn't run out as there's no way I want to put the oven on in this weather.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I had the last wholemeal wrap with homemade coleslaw, homemade potato salad, a hardboiled egg, cucumber and a bamboo shoot followed by gooseberries from my allotment.

Salad tonight - not sure if it will be with the buffalo mozzarella (Lidl! £1.49!!) with tomatoes or the selection of cold meats. There are some rosemary and sea salt focaccia to mop up and excess olive oil/dressing used. We have a selection of Lidl's mini "magnums" for afters.
The gas cannister made it through bbq-ing the chicken thighs last evening but it was pretty light so I'll be calling the propane people to get them to deliver a new one - we'll be needing it over the coming weeks.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Pretty much the same as yesterday with tandoori tofu instead of the egg and some slices of a seeded baguette instead of the wrap, a handful of cherries the birds missed and some raspberries for pud."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

Not decided yet but the cooler weather means we can have something cooked in the oven if we wish. Might drag him indoors over to taxco to see what they have - maybe a lasagna (with added HM bruschetta?) or perhaps sausage and mash (with fried onions!!)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Chicken, rice, spinach

@Frith
I love creamed spinach. It was one of the marvels in the staff restaurant at my second last employer. They'd always have jacket potatoes (90p) and then some expensive stews or something to put on top of the potato (£2.50?) which I'd never have. But if they had creamed spinach (veg portion so 60p) I'd get that on top of my potato. Marvellous - a hearty hot lunch for £1.50. fyi - this is the employer I left in 2023 so I'm not talking last century!!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
