well I had said to the OH I would go out and get some chicken so I could make tortillas.  But I haven't got out to the shops yet and he's in the middle of prepping a snake and pygmy pudding.  (which I think is for tomorrow)

  • Cold cauliflower cheese. It was actually ok. I had some briefly sautéed leeks with it that could have done with a lot more cooking. The leeks were from my veg box.

Made a chicken curry with some thighs, with bombay potato and a paneer jalfrezi.

A bit too spicy for me but the raita cooled it down.

OH will be prepping our steak and kidney pudding shortly.  Doesn't need a very long steam as the inside bit has already been cooked.  I've just been told I need to go out and get some carrots to go with it.

A Sunday pot roast, a small joint cut from a more economical family sized joint and frozen. I shall bake a tea loaf, then put in an apple crumble and some rock buns while the oven is on.

Last portion of mushroom alfredo pasta bake - it's a great recipe and really cheap to make so will make another batch next week to keep the freezer stocked.

We had the second round of steak and kidney pudding and as with any of these things it's always better when reheated.

To make up for 2 nights of big dinner it will be soup and sandwiches tonight.  I've got some avocados and prawns but don't know what him indoors will want as a sandwich.

Chicken and black peper dhal for dinner tonight with some naan bread rather than rice.  Will have leftovers so that's more for the freezer again.

Last night was mushroom pad thai, with enough leftovers for lunch today. Tonight I am making this version of aubergine biryani and there’ll be enough for tomorrow’s dinner too. Strawberries and cream for pud.
