We get marrows, sometimes of olympic proportions, at the food bank and the majority of people just look at them in horror.  I don't know if it's because of something they were fed as a child or simply because they don't know what to do with them.  I must admit it's something I have never had - as far as I'm aware.  Not something mom would have served us for sure so only something I would have heard about in my mid 20s when I was first in the UK.  I love courgettes but given that they are smaller generally I think they might have a bit more flavour.

Haven't had a stuffed marrow for ages, never cooked it myself, it's just something that my mum would cook from time to time.

Dinner tonight is a classic cottage pie because its definitely Autumn here and I could do with some comfort food.  Plus we have potatoes and carrots to use up.

I remember as a child my auntie cooking a stuffed marrow, it smelled absolutely delicious but I remember mostly the utter disappointment when I tasted it. I'm sure yours tasted better Frith.
When staying at a relatives home a good few years ago, their home gardening had produced a glut of marrows, which were served mashed on a plate most days. Not something I ever repeated. But I do love courgettes.

Tonight we are just having jacket potatoes and salad. I will do a gammon joint for ham for husband and daughter to have with theirs and I'm having a mini tin of tuna and hard boiled egg with mine.

Marrow and ginger jam is tasty. I like making old fashioned jams and jellies.
I expect you could hide some in a spiced apple crumble and soups.

OH got some Tesco curries for dinner.  Nice and simple and a bit warming on a manky wet evening.

OH has asked for hotdogs.  Mostly because we have a busy TV evening.  Bakeoff and BlueBloods.

@Brie I love blue bloods, we binge watched from start to finish. Not sure if you have seen Chicago pd but that's also an easy watch.

We were going to have pasta for dinner, but took my dad out for dinner and had a burger, (no chips) so we just had salad.  I made a fresh cream swiss roll yesterday and theres two slices left which we will have later.
