Last of the stew tonight with last of the wholemeal loaf and salad. Tomorrow I've planned carrot and lentil soup with pitas and hardboiled eggs.1

Well, I blame @Frith 😉
Popped into M&S for Guacamole, they didn’t have any, but they did have their crispy duck on YS and I have the breaking strain of a Kit Kat . So we ended up with a Chinese fakeaway last night, and very nice it was too 🤗
the Yiros will be tonight, made garlic sauce instead of the guacamole, as I didn’t fancy my chances at ripe-or-not avocado bingo 🫣Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Avocado bingo!!! so very true!!! I'm also waiting for a mango to ripen - been years since I've had a live one.
Tonight is KFCish with chips and coleslaw. Food bank had a huge (banana) box of little plum tomatoes some of which are almost on the turn. I took a few large handfuls and will sort through and have some of the nice ones tonight and add the rest to my freezer bag for roast veg. I love the flavour they add.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Shepherds pie.
There was no guacamole in our M and S either. I had to go to Sainsbury's.

It was lovely, sunny and warmish here today so when I spotted this carrot recipe in today's Guardian I hastily rejigged tonight's menu and it was delicious as well as very easy, highly recommended.
Eaten with crisped up wholemeal bread to make huge, crunchy croutons, padron peppers, hard boiled eggs and yellow split peas, a very colourful plate."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

threw together a salad tonight because I really did not have the energy to cook anything!
So tonight was lo salad, lo ham, topped with caesar dressing and grated cheese, alongside some vegan coleslaw, quinoa chips. plus a carrot dipped in hummus. followed by gf rocky road bites. yummmmmm.1 -
We are having a weekend ‘off’. Life has been busy recently, so this weekend, we intend to potter, walk Frank and do as little as possible.
We have salad, the makings for coleslaw and wine in the fridge, mackerel, some huge prawns in the freezer, along with burgers, chicken, sausages etc I picked up some Anya potatoes, which are my favourites for potato salad, I think I’ll make a loaf, so we won’t starveNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

He says he bought fish but can't remember what. Might be snapper (eek! boney!!) and will be served with new potatoes. He also bought some fallow deer hearts and kidneys which will be skewed for the bbq. Possibly tomorrow night but he has a hospital appointment first things so that will mess up the entire day really so I'll be proposing something more gentle on the tum - not sure what yet but I did get given a lovely cheddar and jalapeno loaf at the food bank yesterday. Not too surprising it's not the most popular type of bread particularly for families with small children.
I was amazed at the amount of bread stuffs we had the other day at the FB. Some local event had planned a huge bbq with sausages/hotdogs in rolls. Well the weather being British there weren't many people wanting to stand about getting wet while eating so we were given 200 packages of hotdog rolls, each pack having 10 rolls. That's one whole chest freezer full. Not sure where all the hotdogs/sausages went as it didn't look like we got those, presume the event has kept those themselves - take up less space in the freezer and a lot of people don't think of freezing bread.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
