@Brie - I'm very impressed at how well you know your OH, the combination of garlic butter and cigar smoke doesn't strike me as a fortuitous combination but perhaps it smells better than I imagine, it can hardly smell worse!
@Ellie79 - welcome to the thread from a fellow aspiring foodie. Enjoy your meal out and keep on keeping on one breath at a time.
I have just grazed on rye bread, roquefort and tomatoes and am about to drink my decaf coffee before toddling off for an early night, sweet dreams to all, goldfinches.4 -
Thank you @goldfinches
In the spirit of all things MSE, I present (and this cuts across many threads) a freezer rummage tea. Some home made lasagne (if anyone has seen my comment about my lovely OH who is visually impaired, this will resonate) which OH pulled out of the freezer thinking it was chicken curry... labelled or not, it would make no difference and I was in an online meeting most of the day so could not supervise. He is very happy, it is his favourite tea. I am making the soup I did not have time to make today for my lunch, so mushroom soup for me and DD is having chicken, chips and spaghetti hoops. Gourmet it is not, but out of the freezer it is and everyone will be fed. Counting that as a win.5 -
