I've got 2 free avocado, bag of prawns, soft bread and no where to go this evening.  Think I'm sorted.

This sounds lovely - I love to put some balsamic glaze with my avocado, it goes a treat.

@Brie - I'm very impressed at how well you know your OH, the combination of garlic butter and cigar smoke doesn't strike me as a fortuitous combination but perhaps it smells better than I imagine, it can hardly smell worse!
@Ellie79 - welcome to the thread from a fellow aspiring foodie. Enjoy your meal out and keep on keeping on one breath at a time.

I have just grazed on rye bread, roquefort and tomatoes and am about to drink my decaf coffee before toddling off for an early night, sweet dreams to all, goldfinches.

Here too but it's not takeaway, rather then in the oven stuff.  Still nice though even if I'm in charge of cooking.  There's sticky toffee pudding for afters - good thing I'm ahead of my goal on the weight loss challenge!!!  oh and there may be wine.....

    Thank you @goldfinches

In the spirit of all things MSE, I present (and this cuts across many threads) a freezer rummage tea. Some home made lasagne (if anyone has seen my comment about my lovely OH who is visually impaired, this will resonate) which OH pulled out of the freezer thinking it was chicken curry...
This made me giggle....like the time my OH pulled what he thought was 3 sausages out of the freezer to thaw overnight so he could have them for breakfast.  Turned out it was 3 frozen bananas I'd set aside to use at some point for a banana loaf.  I've started to label them on the assumption that he can read just fine.  If he doesn't read the labels well he's only got himself to blame!!
