    Last night I was going to bbq some "country style pork ribs" but the bbq died before I could put them on so had to use the oven instead.  Wondering if I can be asked to get a propane refill for dinner tonight (steak) or if I will just pan fry it.  Laziness will likely win.

    fyi - the pork ribs are a cut in Canada where there is a big chunk of loin but ribs at both ends, usually with a nice bit of fat for flavour so it's the best of both worlds really.  And lovely with the microwave Uncle Ben's mushroom wild & white rice.  Wondering if I should get some of those to bring back to the uk with me.....

    Changed the menu last night - still had the lamb koftas but with fried off jacket potato and sprouts/asparagus.
    Tonight Mr F eats out - I am having 2 Burford Browns eggs with chips.

    We’re having air fried honey/soy salmon bites tonight with rice for him over salad for me - I use chicory root syrup to replace honey as it’s much lower in carbs.

    @Brie we’re off to Canada to visit my dad next month, bit sad, as he’s not well, but I’m sure well have a fab time with him anyway

    @Islandmaid
    sorry to hear dad's not well.

    I'm sure you've said before where he is/you're from but can't remember!  Just took mom out to have some blood work done, then we got a McDs and sat at a farm shop where they are selling a wild array of pumpkins and the most beautiful huge pots of chrysanths - about 3 foot across some with mixed colours in the same pot.  So lovely.  Meanwhile we're coming up to the big raptor migration and we're on their flight path.  The sky is full of turkey vultures, I just had one overhead while walking my Bro's dog - humongous birds with a 6 foot wing span and yet so graceful in the sky.  Ugly as sin up close though!!!
