I bought an unsmoked gammon joint 2.2kg reduced to £6.45 and have cut it into 4 slices.
We're having one between us tonight with new potatoes, fried eggs and garden peas.

The other 3 slices have gone into the freezer.
  • Lunch today will be BLT rolls and tonight's dinner will be pork stir fry with loads of veg and some rice. Hm baked vanilla and blackberry ricotta cheesecake (from the freezer) for pud.

Spinach and ricotta pasta with a shared slice of cheese and caramelised onion focaccia. Cupboards are looking rather empty - I ended up with spaghetti hoops and rice cakes for lunch (not a combo I'd recommend)

Greek style pork tonight with oregano and lemon, slow cooked over potatoes and served with a Greek salad - tastes lush, but is proper lazy food, as apart from chopping salad, its just bung it in the oven ;)
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

  • He Who Knows is under the weather today, think he's picked up a fluey type virus so I'll make cauliflower and stilton soup for lunch, that will cheer him up and supper this evening will involve some of a pack of cooking bacon that needs using up so it might be a bacon hot pot given the crazy weather as it's absolutely freezing here today, after yesterdays lovely warm sun it's no wonder these germs take hold is it?

Todays lunch will be the LO shepherds pie from last night with green beans & peas.

Dinner tonight will be Hairy Bikers braised steak and onions; with mash & veg, probably broccoli & cauliflower.
