  • Pea and bacon soup with some crusty bread for lunch and a sausage casserole with a cobbler topping for supper tonight along with some peas and steamed cauliflower. Rhubarb compote for pud and a cup of black coffee to finish.

    A bit of a "fridge gravel" meal tonight of spaghetti with mushrooms, bacon and asparagus in a garlic, basil and creme fraiche sauce

    Better than our fridge which would be a can of fanta, a bottle of prosecco, some carrots, cream cheese and a cucumber :rotfl:

  • For dinner tonight we had slow roasted shoulder of pork with roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, peas and gravy. Plenty of meat left for a stir fry tomorrow.

    Husband had steak and kidney pie, homemade and frozen, mushy peas, mushrooms, cabbage and a few new potatoes.
    I had potato dauphinose left over from yesterday, vege hot dog sausages, cabbage and mushrooms. Leftover rhubarb and apple crumble with ice-cream also got finished. Very full afterwards.

  • Lunch today will be sandwiches and the last of the pea soup and supper tonight will be veggie burgers, freezer sweet potato oven chips and a lovely big salad. Rhubarb compote and yoghurt for pud and a cup of black coffee.
