He's doing guinea fowl and steamed cabbage. I suspect there may be potatoes if there's some roasties hiding somewhere in the freezer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Roast pork dinner today. Husband offered to slice it, he must have eaten 3 big slices while doing so!!
Loads of veg, used out of the fridge. Made a minestrone soup as well.6 -
@C_J - I hope there’s no ancient bylaw as we rarely have them (I really love cooking but for some reason I hate cooking roasts 🤦♀️)!
We’re just back from a few days away by the sea where a LOT of chips, pizza and a cheeky kebab were consumed, so in an effort to redress the balance, tonight we had tomato and veg pasta (leeks, mushrooms and quorn sausages) with a side of broccoli.Books read 2023 - 49/755 -
So last night I grabbed a TGTG bag that had 4 Cornish pasties in. We had 2 for our dinner with chips and beans. The other 2 for lunch
Tonight there was lasagne left over that my husband didn’t eat. I bulked it out with chips and garlic bread:money::rotfl::T5 -

Just back from a toddle around Christchurch - didn't realise it would be market day. One of the stalls had a lot on offer so 1 kilo of sliced ham, 2 packs of sliced garlic sausage, 1 pack of 6 Westaway heritage sausages (never seen those before!) and a pork pie a good 5 inches across. £10 for the lot which I didn't think was that bad. Some of that will be had for dinner. Maybe with soup, although the OH has suggested with chips.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Brie - did you resist the charity shops?
Last night I braised the mini sausages in gravy/Worcestershire Sauce with an onion and an Iberiko black tomato.
Tonight it is back to the last portions of quiche.

Tonight we are having the roast pork postponed from yesterday. Well, not really "roast pork" as it isn't a joint, just two whopping pork chops which I will roast in the Ninja. Will be served with a garlicky creamy parsnip, celeriac and potato dauphinoise, some shredded cabbage and sliced carrots.4
