still fighting the lurgy here. OH has asked for fish tonight so I'll likely get one of those frozen salmon in pastry things from Lidl and just have some peas with it. I'm pleased that he was well enough to think it through a bit and said "fish, but not in batter".
I think my brain is unfogged enough I can be trusted to drive.....I did have a moment earlier when cooking breakfast when I turned on the tap to fill the sink and then wandered off to have breakfast without turning it off. Thank dog for double sinks as the tap was on full for 30 minutes. Complete waste of water and heating of it but at least we didn't need to get the mop out.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Quick grilled meal tonight, breadcrumbed soya nuggets, spicy potato wedges, peas, carrots and sweetcorn. Dessert was a piece of home-made lemon cake with vanilla buttercream and tangy lemon icing.3

Husband had shepherd's pie (from freezer) with sprouts, I had a leftover jacket potato with cheese. Just wasn't in the mood to cook, so quick and easy was the way forward.4

I’m having a fridge clear. Trying to avoid the shops as we still have stuff in from Christmas.
using the LO Lamb from Sunday, I’m going to try and make a Shawarma (sp?) type thing, with Rose Harrissa, cumin and coriander, some Pitta from the freezer, (coconut roti for me), greek yoghurt that’s just about to go out of date with tahini, shredded lettuce, HM Hummus and pomegranate molasses. Shred and fry off the lamb with the harissa and serve with everything stuffed into the pittas 🤞Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Took out some of the leftover lamb to use with a jar of tikka sauce. The shopping is coming tonight so I’ll do that with naans (on the shopping) and rice from the cupboard. I got a orange pepper in my £1.50 Lidl box so I’ll add that and a chopped onion to bulk it out a bit and add extra veg:money::rotfl::T3

Mr F has been looking in the chest freezer and has got out 3 bags of frozen veg - I have sausages in the fridge and a dumpling mix in the cupboard. Got some onions and garlic to use up and some potatoes so no spending on dinner today.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
