@Brie well done on tracking down the chap and to your OH for seeing the delivery through. I can imagine it's tough and takes repeated exposure to be able to disassociate emotionally from people's situations. That's not to say not being empathetic but if you took on the emotional and situational baggage of everyone who needed help, you'd be a wreck and no use to man nor beast.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Traditional ‘picky bits’ for the next few days, DS, DIL and GS go away tomorrow to visit family so OH and I will have a few days to ourselves.Spending the day doing catch-up laundry as OH will be reconfiguring our utility room from tomorrow ready for the gubbins for Solar panels which are being fitted mid January (our Christmas present to ourselves).Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Last night we had jacket potatoes, leftover cooked meat, m&s vege Kyiv, waldorf salad, pickles and salads bits. I think I enjoyed it more than my Christmas dinner, probably because it was so straight forward with no hassle.
I may do salmon tonight.
Edited as I noticed spellcheck changed waldorf salad to walford salad. Not sure what an eastenders salad would contain 😂2 -

@JIL a Walford salad would probably contain..Da-Da-DadadaWe'll find out in the next episode 🤣Used up more leftovers tonight, even I'm getting a little bored of them now.Have some butternut squash to turn into soup too. It was going past its best so i boiled it on xmas day and overdid it so its no good for roasting. Soup it is.Hit the Sales today, rarely ever go in so early so this was unusual. It was quite nice to have lots of choice and picked up a few nice things. Was pretty busy and I can't say i was very MSE, but I don't go shopping often so don't feel too bad about doing so.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I did mini roast potatoes, roasted veggies and sausage rolls for dinner yesterday.
I really had a lazy day yesterday.
Been a bit more productive today - shortened 3 pairs of trousers for a friend.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

We didnt have salmon, I put a quorn chilli together and put it in the oven with potato wedges, then added some tortilla chips with cheese and salsa. It feels like Christmas is over, son and sibling left this afternoon.
I ventured out to the shops it was so quiet. I am doing a buffet later in January and picked up some stuff at a big discount from Waitrose. Italian crackers for cheese, the only thing that was Christmassy about them was the box. Baklava was £2 per box, fudge was also £2.
Popped into b&m also very quiet. I was looking for some freddo frogs, absolutely astounded that there were shelves of chocolate bars and on the shelves above them were boxes of washing powder. The smell was overwhelming. I wasnt the only one commenting.
