We’re doing the Rudolph Run (delivering presents to nearby family) today, culminating with mince pies and mulled wine at our youngest daughter’s house this afternoon, and I won’t have much time for cooking so I’m just about to throw some shallots, mushrooms, cubed steak and red wine into the Ninja to try out its slow cook function for the first time.3

Aww thanks for the birthday wishes, we had a blast playing Harry Potter Trivial pursuit and Uno
we have our main Christmas meal today, we’re eating out, then the ‘kids’ are released to enjoy themselves with their mates for Christmas Eve. Apart from DD who is working in ICU till 8pm, could be worse at least she has Christmas Day off x
Merry Christmas to all that celebrate, wishing you all love, luck and above all, happiness xxNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

The joy of the season to all of you!!!
Tonight will be the nice smoked salmon with wholemeal toast as well as some melty cheese and chunky bread. Might pick up a pear to go with the cheese....
Breakfast tomorrow is the extra special treacle streaky with scrambled and muffins.
Dinner tomorrow should be duck (note to self - take out of freezer), red cabbage, roasters, must check if someone bought any trifle or if we are just filling the corners with chocolates.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Tonight is a slow cooked Balti curry ( beef,as wife is not a fan of chicken),with rice and naan bread. Smells delightful! Up until me having to end work,we always had a takeaway- but now we cannot. No problem though. In the morning,a good old fry up ( oven up), and Christmas dinner the daughter is around with husband for roast beef and the usual stuff on a dinner. That’ll do!3

Picked up some 19p veg earlier (had hoped it might have been reduced more but i was too early for that, made up for it by the fact Aldi was soooo quiet, bliss). Picked up a 30% off chicken and half leg of lamb too. Have lots to prep and freeze over the next few days and no idea how I'll fit it all in.Dinner tonight was some of the Morrisons huge box of pasta i picked up on Thurs with cheese sauce. Followed by cheese n crackers and picky bits with a couple of xmas films (incl the Muppets Christmas Carol - how is that 30yrs old?!)Must try and locate all items for dinner in the freezer tomorrow...wish me luck.Merry Christmas everyone 🎄Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
