sorry for the silence we’ve moved back to the UK so things have been chaotic!
tonight I’m doing pork chops, spuds, veg and gravy. I got apple sauce too. Veg is broccoli, peas and sweet cornWelcome back to the UK! And yes moves are always chaotic particularly where you're moving between countries - done that a few times now!!!
And thanks for reminding me to get the apple sauce out of the freezer!!! We ended up with pizza last night to pork chops tonight!!!
tonoght I’ve defrosted some nice posh burgers I got reduced. I must admit I’ve missed the decent reductions you can get here. In Spain it was 30% off no more.Posh burgers, brioche buns as I like those better, chips, salad and sweet corn and I’ll do some mushrooms for my humans onions for me:money::rotfl::T5 -
I'm not in charge of dinner as OH had a frozen pigeon stew in the freezer. Made a couple of months back and when it got close to dinner time he was feeling peaky so it got tucked away. Nice - it feels like a stew kind of day!!! Not sure the pigeons would agree....
I did go shopping though and there was a YS pack of salmon that I'm going to split and freeze as, IMHO, one can never have too much salmon. I don't normally get YS fish but this looks extremely well packaged so I'm assuming it will be ok and the price was right by me.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Meatless Farm burgers liberated from the freezer with roasties from yesterday, beans and fried onions. I had a nice slice of cheese melted on top too.
Getting hang of the air fryer now...well sort of.
Slowly chipping away at bits in the freezer, just need to keep it up so things get a) used up which have been hanging about in there for ages, b) I can see what's in the freezer c) i need to fit our xmas dinner in it come the start of Dec...which is only a month away.
Not sure what tomorrow will be.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Used a few things up to make a 'shepherds pie' on the hob. Mashed potato and sweet potato, then fried chopped onion, sliced carrot, parsnip, celery with chopped tomatoes, puree, green lentils, chickpeas, dried sage and seasoning. Served with marrowfat peas. Homemade coffee and walnut cake after.3

I made salmon that came in a sweet chilli marinade.
Served with a load of stirfry veg and noodles.
Didnt really like the salmon, it tasted sweet and fishy. I wont buy that again even if it's still on offer.4 -

@kerri_gt I am following your air fryer experiences with interest - Mr CJ has offered to buy me a Ninja 11 in 1 for my birthday later this month so I shall soon be on a similar learning curve too! I’m also hoping this might mean I can liberate lots of cupboard/worktop space when it arrives and I can get rid of all the various individual appliances it will replace. Hopefully.
Last night was bangers and mash. Tonight it’s linguine with chunks of white crab meat and chopped red chilli, drizzled with a little olive oil.1 -
@C_J I have the dual fryer which has 6 functions. As mentioned I got rid of the microwave to make space for it and so far haven't missed that too much. I don't have a lot of other gadgets except my stand mixer which obv that's not replacing.
So far I'm finding it useful for when me and OH eat at diff times and after doing us dinner in it last night, it was deff as good as the oven.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
