A meal from the freezer for us tonight - two portions of home made burrito filling  and some wraps have just been taken out to defrost. I also spotted two Magnum ice creams in there, so that’s dessert sorted!
    I don’t think I’ve ever forgotten ice cream :-D

I’ve taken out chicken sausages I got reduced. I’ll do sausage pasta bake with hidden veg sauce

OH has declared tonight should be fondue or raclette.  I've got doubts about either as we've got 2 packs of each in the fridge and the BBDs on them is April or May - so not just slightly out of date.  Then again it is cheese....  I think I might insist on us opening things up before we do any proper dinner prep to ensure they haven't developed a heart beat or similar.  If they have then I'll be suggesting chinese....

I have to go along with his suggestions somewhat as it is his birthday month.

@Brie , I laughed at the ‘birthday month’ it’s a standing joke at our house that OH has a birthday month and I get a birthday minute as it’s so close to Christmas 🤣

keeping it simple tonight, KFC style burgers for them, cheese and seed crackers for me. Wine may be appearing 🍷

OH would like to make it his birthday quarter so I have to remind him that it's less than a month to my birthday and then of course there's Christmas 3 weeks later so I need to have my birthday month as well!!

Anyways - the raclette was declared ok to eat but OH decided we should have the fondue as that's what he wanted.  And as expected being cheese it was fine.  That said I woke up at 4 am (as you do....) and while my gut felt fine it sounded like 2 bobcats fighting.  I think it might have been having 3 meals that were carb loaded plus chocolate cake mid afternoon.

Tonight more carbs....sour dough loaf with escargot, followed by confit du canard & new potatoes.  I might sneak the last of the rocket on to the plates as well.  And we have 2 birthday cakes currently on the go (one I bought and then another was donated).  Tomorrow is OH's big day and apparently, I'm cooking 2 roasts plus roasties, cauli, squash, yorkshires all after having cracked the champers.  Wish me luck!

Tonight I'll cook a warming autumn favourite of ours, grilled veg sausages, mash, red onion gravy and marrowfat peas. Made some spicy sultana cakes this morning so will have one of those after.

For lunch I had leftover pasta bake from Thursday.

For dinner we had a use up, I made a bulgur wheat salad, and had it with big mushrooms and halloumi. Husband had the same but instead of halloumi he had some pulled pork. We had half a flat bread with it out of the freezer, that I found when looking for the pulled pork.
