I took some chicken sausages out but then I realised later on that I fancied jacket spud. So I did do the sausages with the spuds along side the usual cheese and beans. They weren’t big spuds but I struggled to eat all of mine:money::rotfl::T2

@Brie that recipe looks great. I'm like you, so much as a spot on a banana and it's overripe for me (unfortunately i have a spotty one to force down tomorrow before a run).
I have loads of bananas in the freezer from Olio where i rescued some grotty ones. I usually make banana and peanut butter pancakes with them but may give the muffins a go.
You're right, they look grim when defrosted don't they.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I filled my oven today - dinner was a quick meal but I did some baking.
I made a jam sponge pudding and some Brownies. First time for the Brownie recipe - don't think it is very frugal but I used stuff that I had in the cupboards.

@Brie thankyou for posting the recipe. We always have bananas going ripe and it would be really good to do something other than banana bread.
For dinner we had stirfry with prawns and I had some old spring greens in the fridge which I actifryed and made into Chinese seaweed.3 -
Last night I made this deshi keema, and there’s more than enough for another meal for us both tonight. It was quick to make in one pot on the hob - I used minced beef, not lamb, and it was delicious.4

@C_J Ooh that Keema looks delicious, I’ll give it a go
easy one tonight, KFC style chicken burgers with corn on the cob, I’ll have jerk chicken salad.Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

@Islandmaid I didn’t infuse the whole bird’s eye chilli in it, but added one large chopped red chilli with the onions at the start. I also used more spices than the recipe called for, plus I added a cupful of peas and a few handfuls of finely chopped spinach. It really was delicious 😀5

I got 16 squares from the Brownie recipe that I used. Not sure how much to charge - all money goes to my SA corps. Tonight I have been making Krispie bars - what a mess I got into with the marshmallows!

As I have a really tiring day tomorrow - setting up and helping to run our table top sale at SA - hubby got fish and chips from the local chippy. You get a huge amount for £8.30 - enough for hubby and I tonight with mushy peas and same left over to go in the fridge. I finished the Krispie bars - put some rainbow drops on top - we did a taste test - very gooey.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
