I did seeded wraps containing salad and chicken Goujons with Terikayi sauce last night - we had 2 each - quick and cheap dinner.

@kerri_gt - thanks for those links. I'm intrigued by your mention of an Italian supplier open to the general public and am wondering if it is anywhere near here.

@Smoosh - I so agree. That sort of thing happens an awful lot in my local M*rks Food Hall and is so exasperating. I've noticed something on their shelves and, when menu planning for the week, have decided to buy it. Hey presto, when I go to the shelf it's empty or the displays have been rejigged and there was no space in the planogram for that item or whatever other reason applies. Grrr, the number of times that has happened recently, I'm surprised that I don't have steam jetting from my ears 24/7!

By coincidence we were in an Italian deli today, it also has a cafe area, it does the best coffee and bakes their own focaccia bread. The sandwiches are the best I've ever had, today mine was mozzarella, tomatoes, pesto and salad in the focaccia bread and toasted. Husband had some spicy Italian meats and salad in his. Absolutely delicious.
They also sell all sorts of Italian meats and cheeses and pastries as well as pasta, breads and sauces.

After the very much enjoyed lunch, we had a sainsbury's curry selection out in the garden, followed by a few lagers whilst watching the football.

The grilled tuna with samphire and baguette with buffalo butter last night was great.

OH has declared that today we will have a late Sunday lunch in a pub.  Trying to remember the last time we did this but I think it might have been before we owned a car so maybe 20+ years?

Making a lamb keema byirani in the instant pot this evening.
Yesterday was a leek and feta tart, as I had some YS leeks to use up and some puff pastry in the freezer. I spread the pastry with red pesto, topped with leeks that I'd fried in butter and some wholegrain mustard and topped with feta chunks. Was very nice but needed a salad with it.

Roast beef and all the trimmings for us tonight, with Eton Mess using strawberries from the garden for pud. We’ve got such a bumper crop of strawberries this year, they’re amazing.

Leftover roast beef will be minced up and used in a cottage pie for tomorrow (and hopefully, if there’s enough, for Tuesday).

Vegan Korean style "chicken" wings (YS) with fried rice, broccoli (free) and runner beans (free).

Followed by cherry bakewell cookies (YS) and strawberries from the garden.
