@Brie Lidl had an offer on Albert Whats-HisFace jersey royals a couple of weeks ago (albeit the bags seemed very small and i don't think it was just a reduction in plastic packaging) so they do seem to be about.

They do seem a little later than usual this year though, or that could just be me...i nearly wrote 2020 on something the other week!

We had tuna nicoise today with Jersey royal potatoes. Really enjoyed it, although I think I overcooked the tuna.

And drum roll....I wont be cooking again until Sunday, we are out for the next three days.

Apparently Jersey Royals were actually a little ahead of 'schedule' this year.

(Can anyone tell they are my absolute fav potato 😂)

I treated myself to an electric potato rumbler from Lakeland earlier this year, in readiness for the new potato/Jersey Royals season!

Tonight’s dinner is a bit dull, I made a large pan of chilli con carne last night so it’s some for this evening and some to shoehorn into the freezer.

ribs tonight - tesco maple ones

If we hadn't already bought those we would have got some lovely barnsley chops or tomahawk steaks which we admired in a new butcher shop we've found.  Instead we bought sausages.  OH chose some cumberland and old english but I opted for the pork and apricot ones!  Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow!!
