I have two small battered cod portions left over in the freezer, and I'll be baking those and serving them in burger buns with salad and a side order of home made chips. It's been a busy day, and I need an easy dinner4

It’s Thursday so a rushing-in-and-out dinner - made a huge cheesy chorizo and mushroom pasta bake (enough left for lunches tomorrow), served with green beans.Books read 2023 - 49/754

I have several bags of chopped white turkey meat in the freezer, left over from Christmas. So tonight I’m making a puff pastry pie using leeks, green peppers and turkey in a creamy sauce.
For puds over the next few days I have baked a chocolate sponge base which I will smother with cream and then top with black cherries. A sort of deconstructed Black Forest thing. Ooh, I’ve just remembered I have a bottle of damson liqueur which I bought at a Christmas market last year ….. will sprinkle some of that onto the sponge base too.5 -
@C_J Black Forest is one of my fav desserts - reminds me of dinner out at the Berni inn as a child (when dinner out was a rarity and we were expected to sit at the table with the adults not run around the restaurant like feral beings - can you tell that's one of my pet hates, both bad manners and highly dangerous). Anyway, what time shall I be round?
Dinner last night was a ping ping sweet n sour chicken with rice from TGTG. It was nice, but not really something I'd have chosen...which is unfortunate as there's another in the bag (the bag itself was very well thought out - I was impressed with that).
Not sure what tonight will be. Found the S&V no fish fillets in Aldi yesterday that OH really liked last time I bought them so maybe those with some HM chips lurking in the freezer and peas or beans.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I went to do some shopping yesterday and got a fair amount that needs to fit in freezer which seeing as my freezer is tiny doesn't take much to fill it. Upshot is some HM chilli has been removed to make space (along with emptying the whole thing out and rearranging) and is therefore the lucky chosen one for dinner tonight. I've had rice last two nights (and I am getting low on it) so may have pasta with it.4

Tonight we are having mackerel, lentils and asparagus. Might be a weird combination but it all needs eating up.
