    Breakfast: Oats, cinnamon, banana
Snack: Soya yog and tinned fruit
Lunch: falafels, hummus, watercress and peashoot salad, hot pickled beetroot
    Snack: Navel orange and kiwi
Supper: Veggie sausages, broccoli, sweetcorn (HM chips for DH and DD) - not very exciting! I will however be whipping up some potato and swede pasties for the freezer for DH to take to work, using the wonky veg I found YS in A$DA yesterday.

Inspired by Islandmaid's talk of spiced lamb hotpot (thank you, IM!) I have made a sort-of Middle Eastern lamb stew with the last of the Easter roast lamb leg. There was quite a lot of meat left on it and this has been cut into chunks and cooked slowly with chopped onion, cumin, cinnamon, ginger, coriander, fennel, cayenne and black pepper, a tin of drained red kidney beans, a tin of chopped tomatoes, some lamb stock and one finely chopped preserved lemon. Smells lush :)

    Long time no posting

    Ive been bored

Bored with food, bored with cooking, bored with eating

Im still very very bored, but have not got the oomph in me to try something new and exciting

No idea what to have tonight, theres some pulled pork mum bought sat in the fridge a month ( still in date so lord alone knows whats in it) which I really need to use, have some brioche buns so it will probably be that and salad. But its cold and wet and I really just want someone else to cook and put it up in front of me lol
  • Lunch today was leek and potato soup (super 6 leeks and spuds). Tonight's dinner will be roast beef, roast potatoes, honey roast parsnips, broccoli, carrots, yorkshires and gravy.

Haven't been on for a few days but quick run down:

Fri - ended up not actually bothering with anything else
Sat - pasta before going out then cheesy chips on the way home to soak up the (many) beers
Sun - Fish curry that I'd bought two of YS for myself and OH - but I could tell he wasn't keen from the look on his face so...
Mon - Fish curry #2 to use that up.

What a boring old Easter menu.

Tonight was stir fry to get some veg in OH. No idea about tomorrow - feeling a bit 'meh' so perhaps something comforting like mash for a tummy hug.

I've bought a very good family steak and ale pie from a butcher.
Usually £4.99 but reduced to £2.99.

So this family (me and OH :D) will have the pie, home-made mash, cabbage and gravy.

The past few days have been a whirl of food & eating...
"Normality" restored this evening with LO buttermilk baked chicken, a baked spud and creamed spinach & peas for dinner.
