Any ideas what to do with excess Easter Egg chocolate?
My partner and I have scoffed two eggs' worth, but feel we can't look at another egg again.3 -
Save it for a day when you fancy a bit of chocolate & don’t want to spend money 😉 I stock up on the cheap ‘chocolate buttons’ ones & I like to keep 3 until November when all 3 of us have a birthday 😉Be Kind. You could melt it down and make rice krispie cakes or use it to drizzle over pears as a dessert - but there's not that much chocolate in an Easter egg, it's all just packaging. I'd be tempted to do as Mrs S_D does, and keep it in the cupboard, you'll probably fancy it in a couple of weeks' time!

I do that end November time with advent calendars, the past couple of years I’ve bought a box (24) and the Aldi manager gave me a second box for the food bank. Not much, but something xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Liked the chicken and rice so much last night I was about to eat the second chicken thigh but something about the texture wasn't quite right. Most likely all in my head but once you get a notion like that it's hard to ignore. Just one of those things I am sure any chicken I have in future will be fine. So, tonight was a chop and an attempt at making a dent in the 19p parsnips and carrots. Used three carrots, two big spuds and two big parsnips (and I continue to have loads left). Made parsnip, carrot and potato mash (had two helpings this evening, rest will be be into soup with lentils added), gravy and broccoli. Pudding was couple of A*da fake Or*o biscuits.3

I had a bit of a use it up cookathon today.
Made carrot and swede mash and froze it in portions, cauliflower, broccoli and stilton soup, a shepherd's pie for my parents, and used the remaining potatoes to make "poundies" which we had with salad and ate in the garden.3 -
@Frith - well done for getting your like from Jack, very impressive.
@Brie - sorry to hear you've got the virus and are having to miss visits, get well soon.
I made these hot cross buns yesterday
which are delicious but so stodgy that I could only manage a couple although I can report that they taste very good with stilton.8 -
They look scrumptious!4
