I had a load of mash with spring onions left over from yesterday and a portion of shepherd's pie I had made for my parents lunch.
So husband had the meat shepherd's pie and I made one with quorn topped with the aforementioned mash. Served with tenderstem broccoli and green beans.3 -
We’ll be finishing up the Chinese Five Spice chicken and veg stir fry tonight, with a pack of straight to wok noodles added to eke it out (Mister CJ liked it so much last night he went back for THIRDS which nearly scuppered the meal plan for tonight! 😂).I have a couple of mangoes (from the community larder) to use up so will make some mango ice cream for pud.4

Local beef burgers in rolls, salad 'bits' and maybe some Onion Rings (crisp variety not actual onion rings). I have egg mix leftover from last nights 'quiche things' and might make that into scrambled egg for my lunch. DS pops over from school and he can have the leftover soup from yesterday's lunch (DH took the other leftover soup for his lunch today).Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Finally making the Bundobust Chole Saag (chick peas & spinach) recipe at home! Wish me luck4

Baked potato, tuna, cheese and mayo. I'll stick some of the root veg in the oven to roast while it's on too, then freeze some. Maybe use some tomorrow in a curry.4

Lunch here will be using up leftovers - there’s a small portion of pasta from
last night, some mash and veg which I will turn into bubble and squeak with an egg, and one lone bread roll, first come, first served (DH, eldest and I for lunch today, youngest is at school).
Dinner will be quiche and salad bits - grilled halloumi, Greek salad, sausage rolls etc.Had a very crunchy piece of toast with a thick layer of marmite this morning, whilst I couldn’t taste it, I could sort of ‘feel’ the tang of marmite? 🤷♀️Books read 2023 - 49/753 -
BBQ to use up some fridge stashNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1303 -
Lunch has been a finger roll from the freezer (slightly freezer burnt but perfectly fine) with a sausage (also FF - have 8 to turn into a casserole later and that leaves 2 in the pack) - they were RTC from a toad in the hole pack in A$da (silly me missed out on the Checkout Smart cashback at the time), with some sliced toms, cucumber and HM potato salad (made from some posh Asda range RTC 10p salad pots I boiled the other night before they toddled off and planted themselves in the garden - I'd forgotten they were in the fridge)
I need to make a casserole later but they're always better the day after, so not sure what dinner may be. Given I have a spare sausage I could cook that and cut it up and have it in some pasta - or find some mashed veg and bits (also in the freezer...I swear one day I'm going to find The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in it) and bulk out the lone banger that way.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
