Fingers crossed for you MIL @Brie 🤞 My MiL had a stroke last October and all the covid rules made visiting very difficult.

I am so completely out of sync with the bank
holidays and easter holidays that I forgot about the Thursday mad-dash-and-rush to be back out of the house for 6:45, hence leftovers or bacon rolls all round (eaten at 6:35 😬). I had a baked potato with cauliflower cheese when they’d all gone - my taste has returned, hallelujah!

Mash (YS potatoes), carrots and broccoli (both YS) with a mixture of pork and chicken and chorizo kebabs for OH (both YS) and veggie sausages for me. I also had Brussels sprouts (YS).

Breakfast was Greek yoghurt, banana and honey for OH and an almond croissant for me (YS).

For lunch we had beans and cheese, OH's on toast (YS) and mine with pasta.
  • Today, I cooked some discounted chicken breasts in Nandos sauce, some sweet potato and a freezer pack of veg. That'll do for two meals at work tomorrow and Saturday

It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

That must be a real worry @Brie and of course at 96 no fall is good. Let's hope they figure things out asap and get her back homr where she's comfortable and in familiar surroundings.

Dinner tonight was the sausage casserole i made last night as planned (8 sausages from the RTC toad in the hole pack, two carrots from 19p Easter bags, 1/3 pack Aldi super six mushrooms, 3 small sliced onions, plua 2/3 tin of beans made it up along with a lazy lidl sausage casserole mix with some extra water. That's 4 meals assuming 2 sausages per meal).
Mixed veg and a slice of bread.
