Last night was some Bolognese sauce with mash as I didn't have time to cook spaghetti. Can't say it went that well with the mash (surprising as chilli does). Tonight is stir fry as I did a quick stop in Aldi on the way home last night and picked up some noodles.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Switching my main meal to lunch time...bacon, mushy peas, croquettes. Then, late afternoon friends coming for afternoon tea. Sandwiches, buns, scones, the works, even set up on an afternoon tea stand. Can't wait! Depending on when they go, if I am hungry later, will scoff any leftovers or make something quick.2

OH did a lovely baked trout last night, served with new potatoes. All turned out beautifully.
Tonight I've suggested chicken wings - he'd bought some in the week and they didn't get used so it would just be a case of what else should go with them. More wings perhaps? Maybe chips or just salad if I wanted to be perfect. Then again it's the first day of 2 weeks off work so I've also suggested we could have some pizza with it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Had a lovely meal out at a riverside pub with family yesterday, today I’m making chicken and leek pie - mainly because I got a pack of puff pastry out of the kitchen freezer to put in the garage freezer (space issues) and then found it on the side defrosting later 🤦♀️ Served with boiled potatoes, carrots and peas. Plus gravy, always gravy.
