Should be lamb meatballs, mash, veg and Ikea gravy, but I’m hoping to persuade the husband to take us out 😉

Eta - it worked! Our local brasserie is doing 50% off mains Mon-Fri in Jan, which was enough to tempt him 😋

  • I've made a big Shepherd's Pie, just put in oven.  Will do with some steamed cabbage and extra gravy. Hopefully some leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Reheated with a splodge of HP sauce, lovely.

Leeks wrapped in ham, smothered in cheese sauce and baked until golden and bubbling. Served with sautéed sliced mushrooms and courgettes.

@C_J when I first moved out of home when I was 18, Leeks wrapped in Ham with a cheese sauce was the first meal I made, I dreamt about how I would make this for myself for months before, it still holds a special place in my greedy heart 😍😂

  • Made a fish pie with cod, smoked haddock and salmon. Quite a lot of mash on top, but I have a big bag of potatoes that need using up.

Out at the Public House last for the football so got dinner there. Mushroom and Ale pie with mash and peas.

Tonight was some pasta out of the freezer and cooked up and chopped the last lingering Ikea veggie sausage too.

Tonight we’re having a pan fried chicken breast each served with roasted beefsteak tomatoes stuffed with a little rice, chopped mushrooms, spinach and grated cheese.
