The stew ended up being left (uncooked) in the fridge, we’d had our booster jabs on Thursday and by yesterday we we’re feeling a bit ropey, so went to bed early - right as nine pence this morning.
we had a takeaway tonight, the stew will be Sunday lunch 👍Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Sunday roast with gammon and cauliflower cheese.
We went out earlier to a local garden centre, people were queuing to get in, it was snowing and so cold, so we popped to lidl and much to husbands disgust I bought a £1.50 veg box. He wont moan when he has apple crumble and banana bread.2 -
OH is doing slow roasted pork belly. Had an accident in the initial prepping as he presses it and was using the hugest cast iron pot filled with water to weigh it down. And it slipped. And hit the kitchen floor. Floor was fine (& his toes) but water everywhere and a chunk out of the enamel. Annoying as it's only a month or 2 old - he has done something similar to every large pot we have ever owned!
Anyhoo....it will be served with mash and after we have a starter of smoked duck breast on rocket. I aim to have extra rocket with the pork as well else I'll be soaking the mash in too too too much butter.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
