On closer examination of my induction hob bargain today, I see it also came with the Aldi receipt and three year warranty for £29.99 which will expire mid 2022. I can hardly believe my luck and we hope to use it in the campervan when we have hookup.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

BridesMumAng said:I’d buy everything apart from underwear and swimwear Love the sound of your teal stole Pollycat; sounds lovely and an absolute bargain. Can I ask about the Doc Marts please. I’ve never seen any in any charity shops and wondered what you paid for them please? No worries if you can’t remember. Just thought I’d be informed in the unlikely event of me coming across any
Tia. SavvyshopperHiIt was a while ago and they were a junior size 3.That's the biggest size they do (size 10 to 3) but they are very similar style to adult sizes. These were a chelsea boot and I guess had just been outgrown before they could be worn hard. Great condition.I paid £10.00, they retail at £65.00 for the junior sizes but the adult sizes retail at £149.00 so I always look at the kids range.I snapped them up as soon as I set eyes on them. The benefit of having tiny feet.Currently I'm hanging my nose over these beauties:

Pollycat, Wow! I knew you had beautiful tiny feet & amazing style but that is quite something. Chuckling over "hanging my nose over", too.
All our charity shops are limiting what they will accept by volume which is very frustrating as we have 18 banana boxes of books to relocate. I'll be asking a Scout Leader if I can make up 30 "reader badge" bundles for him to distribute (we don't know if Thursday's face to face will go ahead, and anyway with distancing can only fit one third of the numbers in so we're 2/3 digital 1/3 If Gilwell Permit)!4 -
Thanks everyone for all your comments on what you won't buy. Very interesting too.The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket. :rolleyes:2

My last hurrah before lockdown yielded:
A Gap denim close fitted top £2
A M and S age £13-14 blue check fleecy lined lumberjack shirt £2
New Look lilac, grey and white camouflage trousers ( on the wish list for a while) £2
Next grey blue with cream spots cotton jumper £3
Primark leopard print flat sling backs (look unworn) £2
Joules green padded jacket with pink zip £5. It’s super warm but I need to lose a bit more weight to do it up over the chest. It’s an 8 so I knew it was a bit of a gamble.
Hopefully when shops reopen I will have a big back of stuff to donate.
Keep safe everyone x4 -
I've still got the stuff I decluttered in the last lockdown because the charity shops were limiting donations and I couldn't get there at the right time to give them mine. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.3 -
Great price Pollycat for Doc Marts. I’m also a size 3 so there’s hope for me too! Won’t be open for a while though It’s going to be a long 4 weeks! I’m not sure why but it wouldn’t let me quote you. Says I’ve not been around long enough! Lol!

My final purchase, yesterday, (from the Samaritans), before lockdown was a pair of M & S shoe boots in navy leather & suede. Price was £10
but looked as if just worn once and selling instore at £49.50. My current chazza buying price point seems to be £10....must address that when lockdown ends!!!

Joules large scarf £1. River Island dress size 8 (which I definitely am not) in the empire style. I have cut the top off and elasticated the skirt into a maxi. £1. River Island very wide leg trousers £2. I undid the inside leg seams and sewed them together to make another maxi skirt. Wouldn't normally bother with either of these alteration but I loved the materials. 4 necklaces because I loved the beads and which I may restring £1.50 each. All that clutter used to be money6

Cancer Research seem to have a bulk load of men's brown leather trousers, £20.
The Baylis and Harding box sets and other Valentines / Mother's Day / Hallowe'en / Christmas goodies are now out in force.
Got 3 x Ladybird for Adults books and another humorous book for £1, Marie Curie. All for Christmas presents. My cupboard is looking like a Santa's grotto as they all get wrapped...A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.5
