You do all know that you don't need a Kindle to download books off Amazon and read them on your computer, or even phone.Used to be Bogof_Babe. It did need updating!4

Spend far too much on Ebay, probably.Miró said:What are we going to do if all the chazza shops close down????
Noooo.....none of those would work in my case. Part of the charm for me is getting out and about. Doing a tour on foot of my local chazza shops clocks up about 10.000 steps on my fitness gizmo which helps to keep me fit plus I love being out in the fresh air. I never find any bargains of Ebay these days and the Freecycle/Freegle people seem so unreliable. I shall just have to settle for being an overweight, alcoholic with square eyes by the time this virus thingy is over and done with. (Too much time box-set bingeing with wine and nibbles!!)Dark_Star said:Ebay bargains? Other online bargains? Free cycle & Freegle acquisitions? Really don’t know how to cope without my charity fix plus unable to volunteer as they’ve shut & even worse....the schools close tomorrow so the offspring will be home & requiring home education.........possibly til September but no one really knows........
Getting wine will be a challenge, all the wine and beer has sold out in many places and will probably go as soon as they restock.

Just heard that the Sue Ryder charity shops are closing and this was published on 19/03/2020
"Save the Children, which has 126 charity shops, closed all its shops yesterday saying they would remain shut “until the danger from coronavirus has passed”.Oxfam said its almost 600 stores would be closed from Saturday “until the heightened danger posed by the coronavirus has passed”.
The 600 stores run by CRUK shut at 4pm today in London and the rest will close from 4pm tomorrow nationwide to stem the spread of the virus.
And the BHF will close its 750 stores for two weeks from today to protect staff, customers and volunteers from Covid-19."

However, Sense, local hospice and Sally Army shops all open today!
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.2 -
A friend of mine manager at a hospice shop...no disposable gloves for sorting no hand sanitizer.
They should not be taking in donations but they're really struggling for cash donations at this time.
Unfortunately the shops are not treated very well4 -
I know all our haunts are shut for now but in the meantime would anyone like to join in with an outfit of the day and how much of it is charity shop finds? I will post mine when I get dressed.

Great idea! My jeans are charity shop - Next skinny ones, although my jumper was a regular retail purchase. Must try harder tomorrow!!3

Our hospice shop shut last Monday, most of us who volunteer there are over 70 and most have some sort of health issue so that made the decision to shut imperative. I miss it very much but hopefully it will reopen and most of us will be back working sometime in the future.3

Today I am wearing a Dotty P blouse £3. with regular purchase jersey trousers. All that clutter used to be money2

Today I am wearing a stripey T sourced from a car boot, fleece from a charity shop (I need the pockets) & leggings from an archived kitbag, so at least 3 years old but hurrah the elastic hasn't gone. Topped with a big grin as I can work from home & the sunlight is making a relative's medal "The Great War for Civilisation" glint in its frame as an appreciated reminder.2
